Classifieds: Photos
General
Advice : Photos are important when selling, especially cars. It is strongly advised that at least one photo is included in each FOR SALE advert.Classifieds adverts may include up to 4 digital photos, which must be:
In JPEG or PNG format No larger than 400 x 400 pixels and 70 kBytes Hosted on the SCORE site
Members and non Members follow different procedures to upload photos.
Members with Message Board posting privileges
1. Prepare your digital photo(s)
Prepare your photo(s) on your home computer using your own photo editing software (eg. Photoshop, PaintShop, Imaging).
Ensure that the resultant image is no larger than 400 pixels wide x 400 pixels high, and that the file size is no greater than 70 kBytes.
2. Upload your digital photo(s)
Upload photos directly to SCORE's Classified Photo Album
Members unfamiliar with uploading, please read the Instructions , then ...
Upload to the Classifieds photo album, a link to which is provided on the page where you enter your advertisement details.
3. Include the photos in the advertisement
After uploading your photo(s), you need to include them in your Classified advert:
View your first uploaded photo (at full size ) in the Classifieds Photo Album .
Right-click the photo and select Properties.
Highlight the xxxx.jpg part of the photo's URL and copy (Ctrl-C) to your clipboard.
Paste (Ctrl-V) into the photo's URL field of your advertisement.
If there is another photo, then enter a semicolon (;) after the image URL that you have just pasted.
Repeat steps a-e for all other images.
You should end up with:
Single photo : eg. xxxx.jpg
Multiple photos : eg. xxxx.jpg;xxxx.jpg;xxxx.jpg;xxxx.jpg
Warning : If your URL is of the form tmb_xxxx.jpg then you have included the thumbnail, not the full size image! Delete tmb_ .
Non-members and Members without Message Board posting privileges
After you have taken and prepared suitable photo(s) using your own photo editing software, simply send them as email attachments.
