went to see it yesterday, so thought i'd quote from it. I think that one's in the trailer and is followed by an excellently childish "ooooooh" from Matt Damon!

OK lets change this a bit. here's a riddle I've made up - lots of clues in there - the object is the same - to guess the film title

This is a film directed by a boy from South Shields, starring a boy from the mean streets of Brooklyn and a relative of a grasshopper. The film was based on a book by the creative inspiration for the Ride of the Valkeries and the horror of the Indo China peninsula.

by any chance when you say brooklyn, do you mean breukelen in Holland? where brooklyn, new york (or new amsterdam as it used to be called) got its name from.

In which case the film would be Bladerunner.

I'm not sure about the inspired by clue - The ride of the valkyries was based on the epics of sigurd and brunhilda.

OK -

Director from South Shields, Ridley Scott
Boy from the Mean Streets, Harvey Keitel
Relative of a Grasshopper, Keith Carradine (David Carradine the connection)
Based on Author - Conrad (who's Heart of Darkness inspired the Vietnam film, Apocalypse Now, which contains the famous helicopter/Valkyrie scene)

So...

After getting his teeth into something that turned out to be distinctly fishy, some could say he had a few near misses. Following an adventurous Welshman in an American state looking for a religious artefact, he crafted a story that was out of this world. One of his greatest was a harrowing real life tale - but it didn't contain any lifts (although it sounded like it should).

5 films, one director. Probably quite easy, but I had fun making it up!

Ok try this one, it's just one film:

The stories from homes, four of them, and features sam gamgees favourite animal, as well a mother who's very close to her comatose son from down the creek where the director goes fishing.
