Sounds a bit iffy

Postby Chris da Silva » Tue Nov 05, 2024 14:41

Does anyone know whether Jesse Streeter is still in business?

I tried to contact him several times in the last few weeks to get a few replacement parts for my Cappo using his email (jesse@jessestreeter.com) as per standard procedure; but there was no reply!

Then today, I suddenly had an email (maq193884@gmail.com) from someone who claims to be him; and that sounds really suspicious, especially when this person asks for an Apple e-gift card for his niece and have it sent to her email address! I don't know this address and didn't respond for safety reasons!

Can anyone prove that this is the genuine Jesse Streeter that we all get our parts from?

If Jesse Streeter is no longer our usual supplier of kei car parts, does anyone know of someone else/another source or contact who does the same job as him?

At the end of the day, there will always be a demand of genuine parts for the Kissin' Cousins! And Jesse was the ideal source for us collectors/enthusiasts!

Amayama and Impex only supply new items if they're available and in stock - and they are horrendously over-priced as I found out! 8O

But Jesse's approach extends beyond that by looking up pre-owned items using the Japanese on-line site. I got many of my replacement parts through Jesse because he has a very logical approach:

1. He first contacts the factory to see whether they still have them in stock. If they do, the part will be factory supplied.

2. If the item is no longer available, then he looks up the Japanese equivalent of eBay and other sources [in Japan] for pre-owned parts and sends me the results of his find.

That makes Jesse the most popular and sought-after source for collectors and enthusiasts like us. :D

And I'm still very perplexed why Jesse has "gone off the map" so suddenly especially when he has such a successful business.
