Message to No 10 Downing Street

I get a fair amount of mail arising from being Membership Secretary, but this is the first time I have had to complain to the Government.

I have just emailed the PM as follows:

I was delighted to learn this morning that you were taking the initiative with regard to plastic shopping bags.

Unfortunately, this coincided with my receipt of a mailshot from the Information Commissioner, sent, no doubt, to very many people. Instead of using a recyclable paper envelope, it was enclosed in one made of a plastic very similar to the undesirable shopping bags.

I fear the Government is throwing stones from within a glass house!

Any bets as to a response?

I think it's likely to fall on stony ground, Ian. Irony doesn't get to them.

Still, it's worth a "shrink wrapped e-mail" just for laughs!
