Cordless drill battery

Postby John R Walters » Wed Jan 11, 2006 12:20

OK all you techies out there.

I have a cordless drill and the recharging unit has died, and no I can’t just pop back to B & Q

Is it possible to recharge the Nicad battery by using my CTEK XS3600 battery charger?????

The Drill battery is an 18volt unit.

Any other ideas appart from buying a new charging unit?

If that CTEK is a 12V battery charger, it won't do much good.

If the 18V charger can be opened, you could look inside for signs of a leaky capacitor, which could be replaced, otherwise:

New charger :(
