Adie the laureate began to get cruel
when faced with a challenging duel.
He lowered his aim
much to his shame
and turned into a large braying mule
:!:

Honestly though Adrian does not look like a mule and will not ever look like a mule or even sound like one for that matter.

Looks like the competiton (or was it the jibes  ) is bringing out the best in your limericks, Joanne. We like that one :laughol:

Yes, I think that's my favourite so far.

I've just noticed the smilies! (girlie 'Arghhh' and much waving of the hands - such a dilemma as which to choose?) :girl: (It had to be this one of course)

The smilies were having a party :bounce:
They'd got high drinking extra large latte.
An espresso too far,
No  the Cappo's a CAR!
Please stop fighting with high-kicking karate :|

Will those smilies ever learn?

But hey! When they get going boy they're experts at karate. So be warned that you enter the smilie party at your own risk. :girl:

For those sharp eyes out there I decided to change the last line slightly as I wasn't happy with it, so previously it was' dancing and' but now it is 'fighting with'.

In response to a request for another:

There was a young groom from Darjeeling
Who had a peculiar feeling
His Cappo's inside
Didn't suit his tall bride
So he stopped and removed half the ceiling

Actually there's some poetic license here, as it's not possible to remove exactly half the roof. The driver's and passenger's roof panels are each approximately 38% of the total roof width.

I drove mine yesterday for the first time ever in T-bar configuration (i.e. the "24%" centre roof panel only). Was a bit chilly around the back of my neck but still great fun.

Does this
Joanne Atkin wrote:

mean that this
Joanne Atkin wrote:Whilst driving along
she sped through the throng,
losing all but her lacey red thong

is not merely apocryphal :looney:

A wonderful car the Cappuccino
You should see how fast it can go
With turbo full charge
It may not be large
But it's the pride of the Suzuki logo

D'you remember the laureate Adie?
I always thought he was quite shady.
Being a bit of a slueth
I discovered the truth,
That really our Adie's a lady!

Obviously there is ABSOLUTELY no  truth in this. It just rhymed.

:laughol: 8O Thong-wearing Apprentice you say
Did she throw her undies away?
For she now wears a string
When doing her thing
Writing limericks night and day!

Mmm. Slightly odd, but clean ...

A mot'rist who came from Khartoum
Took his ailing Cappo to his room
He turned out the light
And hugged her all night
The new day saw refreshed va-va-voom

Now with the cold Winter's gone
Days are sunny and long
With the wind in my hair
And just for a dare
I went 'topless' down Morecambe Prom.
