Intermittent start issue

Sometimes when I turn the ignition key, the engine and turbo light fail to come on, I can't hear the fuel pump prime and the car fails to start. This normally happens when the car is warm. If I turn the key off and on, maybe a couple of times are required, the engine light comes on and it starts fine. I have checked and cleaned as may earth points as I know of but occasionally the problem comes back. Anyone have any ideas?

Have a look at the FI (fuel injection) fuse. It may be poor contact (corrosion?). Another candidate is the IG. COIL METER fuse. Aoother suspect is the Main Relay.

Alternatively, it may be bad/worn contact in the ignition key barrel, or a problem with an immobiliser (if fitted).
