Window wipers going slow

Postby Michael Nightingale » Sun Mar 27, 2016 17:48

Hi

I have got a 1994 Suzuki Cappucino, and the wipers appear to be running really slow, is this normal, or is there a way of making them work better, any advice gratefully appreciated thanks.

Mike,
No it is not normal!
I haven't had any problems with the wipers in over 100,000 miles in my cappos so cannot give specific advice. I would check the pivot points on the linkage are lubricated. It might also be the motor itself or possibly corrosion in the electrical connectors. Hope you sort it out.

As Martin said. Lubrication first (can't do any harm), then pull off the connectors and give them a clean. If no joy, check the motor brushes. See pages 8-28 to 8-31 of the Service Manual for very useful information.
