Okay based on peoples' advice I've just ordered a Cusco front upper strut brace from Funky Styling :) It will probably take a few weeks to arrive as I doubt it's an item they keep in stock, but I'll try and get photos once it arrives and post them up here.

That's an interesting site.....Some nice goodies on there at good prices.

That said I'm intrigued by the price of the disks they supply... There's a huge difference between two sets of disks which appear identical !

I'm not too confident about them - they offer an IAC Valve for the Cappo, but describe it as a stepper motor. No way is it a stepper motor, it's a variable delivery oscillating air valve. Question is, if you order one, what do you get?

Yeah, there are a few things on the site that are a little odd, but they seem to be quite helpful if you contact them.

That confused me as well.... Couldn't think where the heck there was a stepper motor..... You've saved me a trawl through my manual !

The strut brace? It's more in line with the price of strut braces I've seen for other small cars. Cusco are known as a good manufacturer so it should be fine.

We'll see when I get it anyway (hopefully in around 2 weeks) :)

What about a rear Limited Slip Differential (LSD) ?

I hear about it, but do not fully understand the benefit of having one in a sports car. Perhaps, someone would like to share their insight about this device.

Thanks
Nick

I've got an LSD on my Cappo.. It's main purpose is to improve traction especially on tight bends.

Distributing torque between the driven wheels. Taking some torque from the inner wheeol and getting it to the outer wheel during cornering. Better starts also :)

Interesting thing about fast starts is that rather like a single prop aircraft the car tends to the left until you've got some momentum going.. This is a known feature of LSDs and what made me suspect I had one in the first place...

Recently been searching the internet for modifications that won't alter the look of the cappuccino but improve the car. Found these on eBay. Just drop the number into the search bar and they should pop up.
Could people tell me there thawts.

281261535820 strut brace

271392469224 N1 chip

Or would this be any cheaper?

I have an original Suzuki Sport strut brace, and I did notice an improvement on a notorious reverse-camber roundabout in Surrey (doesn't do much for you in Jersey!). That one is a different design, so I can't comment specifically.

The N1 kit is a revised ECU firmware which lifts the fuel cut at higher boost and also does away with the maximum speed limiter. To get the benefit of the former, you have to fit some device to make your wastegate open at a higher boost, preferably variable, so you can set it with a boost gauge.

Lots more in the "Performance Enhancement" section of this post in the FAQ. I recommend the scheme in the 2-part Autospeed article - you can get the hardware in UK from Norgren.
