New Cappo owner from the US (Orlando, FL)

Good morning (at least here)!

Finally got my account here sorted, which worked out timing wise since my own personal Cappo is finally back on the road as of late. A little background: I run a JDM importing shop in the states with three of my best friends (one of which is the owner). Since we've started back in 2019, we kind of fell into importing Kei cars and trucks since they were so unique. From covering our ABC's with a Beat, an AZ-1, and three Cappuccino's over time, to a Daihatsu Midget and a Suzuki Mightyboy, I kind of fell into that niche more so than the other guys. Fast forward to now, and my personal orange Cappo is the only one left as of a few months ago. So naturally, I felt it was time to get it back up and on the road.

With the help of this board's past posts, and a few select Facebook groups, I've managed to get almost everything where it should be. There's a few things still to be done, such as track down the reverse light harness since the last owner flat out removed it, but at this point nothing major. Ah, the joys of getting a car from auction in Japan!

Anyway, just wanted to make an initial post. Some links to my car are below. There's actually quite a bit of parts on it at this point, so I fall in love with the car all over again every time I drive it. Definitely the best example we've brought over so far.

I really like the colour, and it looks great. I particularly like the wing mirrors, although you may not get quite as good a view astern as with the standard ones.

Thanks! I was so happy with the condition of the paint. It was covered in dirt and dust, but she really shines now.

You'd be surprised how well the fender mirrors work out. I was very skeptical, but once I adjusted them, they work great. And I can put my elbow out the window and not block the entire field of vision. Might eventually swap them out with black ones, but they've been one of my favorite parts of the car so far.
