The Old Message Board system used a 'sledge hammer to crack a nut' approach to searching through the messages. This was a server intensive operation and because of this there were limitations on the number of messages that could be searched, leading to regular deletions of the older messages and hence the same questions cropping up again and again.

The New Message Board system is a lot better in many ways, including the fact that it has a more powerful search facility, and also, because all of the messages are stored in a database rather than as individual files, there will be no need to continually remove the older messages. Over time and as it develops, the wealth of knowledge that was contained in the old system will also be found in the new system.

In the mean time you will be able to search though the last few months of old messages using the form below.

If you find you need to search through the old messages for some information, consider adding that information to the Cappuccino FAQ topic if appropriate. This will make it much easier for others to find the relevant information and will speed up the process of updating the FAQ page.
