I recently installed a remote boot release that connects to my alarm and allows me to pop the boot with my key fob. I had to install an actuator which did the actual "pull" to open the lock. The problem was that there is no space to put it! I got around this by mounting it on the side of the boot behind the panel (as seen in the photo). I then had to transfer the motion around 90 degrees to the lock. I did this by using a flexible rod from a model shop. These things are normally for radio controlled models, but it works a treat with the cappo! I simply attached to the actuator, bent it round and attached it to the lock. I had to remove the lock to do this but it is fairly easy (only two bolts). I secured the rod to the side of the boot buy using sticky pads and cable ties.
