Proposals for modifications you can make to your rear foglamp circuits to prevent the battery being drained by inadvertently leaving the switch ON when parked.

Two cases are shown - UK spec and JDM. The JDM is applied to a simple implementation, where the lamp is originally in series with a switch and nothing else.

UK Spec Modification Scheme.

Very simple - instead of the Foglamp Relay return being taken direct to ground, it goes through the headlamp switch, which ensures that, if headlamps are off, it cannot drain the battery. The diodes maintain separation of Main and Dipped - without them Main would come on even if the switch was to Dipped.

JDM Scheme. This requires the addition of a relay, which makes it pretty well as good as the UK implementation.
