Our Cappuccino failed its MOT on rust. So we had a decision to make, either spend £300 and patch it, but probably have to do the same again next year or strip it right down and get the body shell properly repaired and re-sprayed. As you will see we went for the full re-build.

I have found a great tool for filling the oil in the gearbox. It is an oil suction gun from Screwfix. It costs £6.99 and holds 0.5Ltr so two and a bit pumps and job done. It has a flexable tube that fits straight into the gearbox fill hole and you can control how much goes in so you don't waste much when you reach the right level.

At last it is back on the road. Got it through the MOT today after having trouble with the emissions, I wish it wasn't N reg the MOT would be much easier.

This shows how the doors are bolted on. You will need to take the wing and lower wing panels off.

This shows where the connector for the window motor is inside the door. This connector is clipped to the door so you might find it hard to release. There is another connector inside the car. If you pull the rubber gaiter that the wires are in off the body side and pull the wiring out the body you will find the other connector that isn't clipped to the body.

This photo shows the back of the door handle. The lock barrel is held in with a spring clip and the link rods just unclip.
